Slowly, but surely, the planet that we planned lies crushed and broken in our hands
All the time we thought we’d find, has just left us all behind, we’re on our own now
Maybe we’re just programmed for this, just the software, in a mainframe of tears
But if ignorance and greed are the ways that we succeed, we’re gonna use them
There ain’t no right time, there’s just right now
A chance that we can fake a way to make it home again
All this pointless wasted energy
When it’s just you and me that’s ever gonna make the change

Shadows fall across the room, the ending of the day
The summer’s nearly done, we’ve all come in from play
Dreaming of our yesterdays, standing proud and tall
For we were younger then, we thought we knew it all
And would we change a thing? if we had our time again, would it be so different?
All the choices we made, comments there to be made, predestined to be the same?
Looking through old photographs, faded over time
They just remind us how, our future was unfolding
Are we proud of what we’ve become? could we have done much more?
It’s too late now to feel, we could’ve had it all

It’s an occupation 9 to 5, clawing like a tiger to survive
